Wow...first day of break and I've already: 1) Successfully learned how to make right turns without freaking out for 5 min and slowly, inching my way around the curb like I did before with my dad.
2) Eaten Pho for the first time in my life, in a tiny, quaint pho shop filled with mostly old folk.
3) Drank bubble tea for the second time in my life. I chose the one with Jack Fruit and apparently (according to my cousin who's a bubble tea addict) it's not a commonly offered flavor and I was quite lucky to choose it (tasted great).
4) Went to Central Library which I don't go to often since it's quite some distance from my place but I managed to pick up some essential reading material.
5) Went and got my standard spring break hair cut. It's definitely more drastic than last year (which I don't think was much of one at all) but I didn't get highlights (lol maybe I'll surprise my parents sometime by getting blue streaks ). My hair's just realllllly short just in time for spring/summer..eh I'll make it work for me.
6) Came back and chilled to my 2 brand new cds that I bought yesterday night (I'm gonna restock my cd collection that got wiped from the fire!) - Amethystium's Evermind (newest release) and Backstreet Boy's Backstreet's Back (2nd cd) to celebrate their return!
In case you guys haven't listend to the Amethystium collection..check out: www.amethystium.com and in the mp3 jupebox section..listen to the songs please..and if you don't have that much time then at least listen to Odonata's "Ethereal" and then Aphelion's "Autumn Interlude" and then Evermind's "Barefoot." These are all awesome new age songs.
I can't wait for the Backstreet Boys' new cd..hehe I'm one of the old fans who desperately wants pop to make a comeback <3
This was all made possible by my cousin who's going to give me a driving lesson again tomorrow! Better get to bed so I don't hit anyone (lol just as my lesson ended today a car pulled into the nearly empty parking lot:
Mina: Oh shieet that's a police car Me: How can you tell? Mina: There're lots of antennas and stuff sticking out of his car. Me: Crap...
Night
Edit: Wow I had a lot of "first times" this spring break..including..getting contacts! I never thought I'd see (haha pun o.o) the day when I would willingly put something in my eye..anyways today was my first day wearing them for real (got them yesterday) and right now it's so wonderful. It's like I didn't know what I was missing after getting used to have everything blurry (I try not to wear my glasses since they really bother me). Now I won't have to worry about the school hallway routine where I see someone coming towards me that might be someone I know but I have no idea of telling for sure until they're like next to me and of course by then it's too late to show recognition etc etc. There's always the embarrasing part of saying hellow to a stranger (ugh I've lost track of the number of times that's happened). So no more of that from now on hurray! |
